One of the things I love most about being a freelance writer for Natural Awakenings magazine, is getting the opportunity to interview people from all over the healthy living spectrum. Chatting with Alana Bray, owner of Yoga Bound yoga studio in Carlsbad, California, was no exception.
With yoga as her tool, Bray teaches people how to better move in their bodies and how to heal from injuries. And she’s the perfect person to teach that! Not only did she injure her shoulder and back doing yoga, she also used yoga as a tool to help heal herself.
But the healing doesn’t only happen with movement and postures. Bray affirms that is only part of the equation. Learning to breath in a way that engages the parasympathetic nervous system is the other part.
