The Longest Way Home Book Review

Did anybody else think that Andrew McCarthy was absolutely delectable as Blaine in Pretty In Pink? Well, he’s even more tantalizing as himself in his memoir The Longest Way Home: One Man’s Quest for the Courage to Settle Down.

In this book, McCarthy takes readers on a fantastic journey as he reveals his reservations about “settling down.” Not only do we get a chance to not only travel the globe with McCarthy on his writing assignments for National Geographic Traveler, we also get a glimpse into the mind of an emotionally vulnerable man figuring out how to be fully present in his relationships with his future wife and his two children.

If you’re an Andrew McCarthy fan, you owe it to yourself to read this delicious memoir!
