Tracey Roberts, owner of Restored Balance Fibromyalgia and Pain Management Center, in York, PA, knows what it’s like to feel hopeless.
In 1995 she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. During a particularly unpleasant phase in her life, she was bedridden for almost four years. “I deteriorated to the point where I couldn’t walk or feed myself; I had to use a wheelchair to get around. I was on at least seven different medications—all of this while having four children under the age of 10,” she recalls. “But I was tired of missing out on my children’s lives and decided it had to stop.”
